Ouch, My Calves

Woke up this morning with really sore calves, due to Wednesday's training session. But it wasn't a normal training session of my own...instead, I was one of the many strength and conditioning coaches helping out at the Nike-Bauer "Earn Your Ice Time" FREE hockey strength & conditioning camp for kids.

It was held in the Skydome in T.O., (where the Jays play) and there were over 600 kids there, 25+ strength coaches, and even 4 NHL athletes. Good times.

We showed the kids some speed and power drills, medicine ball strength training exercises, and then finished off with a variety of conditioning drills.
